This Cabernet Franc comes from their Estate Vineyard, planted in the early 1980s. Half of the grapes were destemmed and fermented with the other half kept as whole clusters. After an 18-day cold soak on the skins, the wine was pressed and transferred into large Hungarian puncheons and used French oak barrels, where it aged for 12 months. It's light, zippy, fresh, and just a touch wild without veering too far off the path. The fruit is vibrant and juicy, with some herbal high notes and hints of earth.
