A 1-hectare monopole just below 1er Cru Champonnet that contains 50 year old vines. Harvested by hand and fully destemmed before a short cold maceration. Fermented with native yeast in cement tanks. Aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, with 20% new oak. Full of dark fruit and peppery notes. Very concentrated but has benefitted from some time in bottle and will continue to age well.
