Ypresien is a geologic period dates from 48-56 million years ago. The successive sedimentations that form this terroir are sometimes from fresh water and sometimes from sea water. From vineyards in the villages of Vandieres and Verneuil on marl, clay, fine sand, sandstone soils. 80% Meunier and 20% Pinot Noir, aged 12 months in barrel on the fine lees with an additional 40 months sur lattes.
