Clos du Jaugueyron 2020 Margaux 'Nout' 1.5L Magnum

The Margaux 'Nout' from Michel Théron is a delicious Margaux with the unusual detail of being 100% Merlot!Seeing about 50% new oak, but of the lightly toasted variety, this is an impressive and delicious Bordeaux that can be enjoyed now with a decant, or aged easily for 10+ years. In the glass, the wine shows a plummy violet in color with clear red edges. When first opened, the nose has lovely dark flowers and lavender, with crushed dark cherries, dark chocolate, pomegranate and even a little hint of spicy dried ginger. The palate begins with flashy graphite, earthy gravel, crisp plums, black pepper and a streak of clean salinity. A perfect vintage for this special wine.
