Chapel 2023 Fleurie Charbonnieres

This lieu-dit is a 2 hectare plot of vines that create and amphitheater surrounded by forest creating a very secluded site. East facing vines planted high density with free-standing gobelet vines. The land has been farmed organically for nearly 20 years and the vines are between 30-60 years old. Hand harvested and undergoes semi-carbonic maceration for about 21 days, fermented with indigenous yeast with no SO2 added. The wine is aged in cuve for about 9 months. The resulting wine is incredibly aromatic with notes of wild strawberry, darker cherry, and pomegranate along with a hint of spice. It has amazing energy with elegance and a long finish.
