Amevive 2023 Carino Tempranillo/Graciano
This is cofermented Tempranillo and Graciano from the Ibarra-Young vineyard, planted in the late 90s and farmed organically since 1993. The Tempranillo was harvested first and began fermentation with 40% whole clusters, with the Graciano being added about a week later, destemmed and placed on top to ferment. After about 16 days the wine was pressed into neutral French barrels to age before bottling. The result is a deliciously bright, red-fruited expression with hints of darker berries and forest floor, with subtle tannins and perfectly balanced acidity from the Graciano. It really hits the sweet spot in terms of feeling fully matured yet not overly ripe, with energy, balance and focus all while providing great pleasure. Cari
