Envinate 2022 Lousas Seoane

Seoane is a single parcel in the Amandi subregion. The vineyard faces south-west, and the vines are very old, at least 80 years of age. As with the other Lousas wines, this is primarily Mencia (90-95%) with a mix of other local varieties like Brancellao and Garnacha Tintorera. Fermentation is whole cluster for 20 days, and aging is for a year in 500L barrels. The profile is similar to the Lousas Aldea, but with a bit more concentration and finesse, and a longer finish. Aging for 10 years is recommended. We previously recommended 3-10 years, but for the 2022 vintage, with the darker profile and material, we would say 5 (at least) - 10 years for peak enjoyment.
