Abbazia di Novacella 2023 Kerner

A delightful crossing of Riesling and Schiava aka Trollinger (yes, white and red) from the pristine mountains of Alto Adige in the northermost corner of Italy on the Austrian border known as South Tyrol. Made by the monks of the Abby of Novacella for centuries, their Kerner is the benchmark in the region and displays everything one would hope for in an aromatic, high acid white wine: saline minerality, herbaceousness, white flowers, sweet spices, tart citrus and pears/peaches.
