New Arrivals from Maxime Crotet!
2/2/26 -

Last week, I tasted the newest arrivals from Maxime Crotet and I am excited to share that I think they are some of the most joyous, and not too pricy Burgundies I've had in a long time! A true example of how pure and energetic natural Burgundy is, and at these prices, you can open them any night of the week.
Maxime Crotet is a Beaune native who doesn't come from a winemaking family, but grew up surrounded by food and wine. He started his wine career working as a cellar rat for Frederic Cossard of Domaine de Chassorney and worked his way up to right-hand man. After 8 years of working with Cossard, Maxime felt it was time to go off on his own and began a negociant project in 2021. With the challenging vintage, Maxime had to look outside of Burgundy for grapes, sourcing from Beaujolais, Alsace, Jura, and Vaucluse. He harvested everything himself and vinified it in his cellar in Beaune. Everything he works with is organically farmed and produced as naturally as possible. Only native yeast is used for fermentation, and SO2 is only added at bottling to help the wines safely travel to our shores.
