Arnot-Roberts 2022 Syrah Clary Ranch

This Syrah comes from the scenic Clary Ranch, planted in 2000 to Syrah and Pinot Noir by Paul Clary. It is a cool, breezy site with sedimentary clay loam soils that allow grapes to fully ripen while never going much higher than 12% in alcohol and retaining great acidity. This is a complex and layered Syrah that exhibits all the classic dark fruit and spice while maintaining lift and a striking minerality not always found in California Syrahs. It can be enjoyed now with some air but will continue to improve over the next ten years. Truly a special wine!
