Koch, Holger 2022 N* Chardonnay

Holger Koch's wines are the sleeper hits of his part of Kaisertuhl in southern Baden, hailing from high altitude volcanic soils. N* means No Sulfer with 2 weeks skin contact(15% whole cluster fermentation) aged in a mix of stainless steel and 500L neutral barrel. Ripe apples and stones on the nose, the wine has a lovely energy bolstering green herbs, Fuji apple with saline minerality on the finish.
