Enderle, Sven 2022 Pinot Noir Keuper
The name here (as with all of Sven’s top wines) comes from the soil type where the grapes are grown. Keuper is a marl and limestone soil that is known for making wines that are spicy, herbal, and fresh. The grapes come from two growers between the border of Baden and Wurtemberg in an area called Heilbronn. Just 1,050 bottles were made! Vinified 100% whole cluster, fermentation in 800 liter boxes mashed by foot. Aged in oak for 15 months before being bottled un-fined, un-filtered with minimal sulfur at bottling. The barrels range from 225-600L from France, Austria, and Italy. The nose here showcases ripe dark cherry lined with great spice and rose. The palate is silky and incredibly flavorful! This can be enjoyed now but will taste good from years to come!
