Antiquum Farm 2022 Willamette Valley "Juel" Pinot Noir
The Juel Pinot Noir comes from multiple sites across Antiquum's vineyard, all picked on the same day and co-fermented to give a good cross-representation of the vintage and unique farming practices in place at the farm. The fruit has a noticeable blue tint and comes through as having good ripeness while retaining great acidity and freshness, a delicate tight-rope walk that really makes this a complete wine. There are some herbal, savory elements and remarkable tension that suggests good aging potential. With that said it's incredibly enjoyable now and doesn't feel tight or wound-up in any way, but rather eases into itself nicely over the course of a meal. This is a wine that is both brimming with energy and seemingly relaxed, effortlessly enjoyable yet still layered and complex.
