Dona Berta 2022 Douro Superiore Rabigato Curtimenta

Grapes are destemmed and around 30% of the wine is aged in old oak barrels for 10 months. The wine has lovely mid-palate weight, with a touch of texture from the short period of skin contact. This is not an orange wine! It's a traditional wine from the Douro made with the white Rabigato grape. 

From our friends at NLC Wines: "100% Rabigato from high altitude vines (500m) in the Douro Superior. Slow maturation of the grapes led to high acidity and soft elegant fragrance. This Curtimenta (aka skin contact) wine saw 8 days on skin, just like the reds have always been made in this region."
