Duplessis, Gerard 2018 Chablis 1er Cru 'Montee de Tonnerre'

Montée de Tonnerre is often considered the greatest of the Premier Crus of Chablis, situated on the same hillside as the Grand Crus, just a stone's throw from Blanchots. It has great exposure and can achieve an extra dimension of density and richness. This is typically a bottling from Duplessis that presents a textbook stone fruit and citrus profile paired with a great sense of weight and breadth in the middle that gives it extra staying power and intensity. This should age extremely well, especially from the 2021 vintage.
