Back by Popular Demand: Henri & Gilles Buisson Bourgogne Blanc and Rouge!

For many years the team at Chambers Street Wines has been offering the beautiful Saint-Romains from Domaine Henri & Gills Buisson. Just back in August we highlighted their Bourgogne Blanc and Rouge for the first time and we could barely get our hands on enough. Between the excellent farming, winemaking, and price we made sure to stock up so that you can too! This drop brings the return of the 2022 Bourgogne Rouge alongside the release of the 2023 Bourgogne Blanc. The new vintage brings fairly little change with the wine still being a mix of young vines from the northern side of Saint-Romain and purchased fruit from their friends at Domaine Guillot-Broux in the Maconnais (practicing organic since 1954). The wine is then aged for a year without racking in used 228-liter barrels. This wine is perfectly balanced and some of the greatest value in Burgundy. Get ready to have this as your new everyday wine.

While the Buisson family has been in the village since the 12th century, Henri and Marguerite decided to begin making and selling wine under their own label just after the Second World War. Today, the second (Henri) and third (Franck and Frédérick) generations are at the realm and the wines are sensational! In the 1970s Henri began farming organically with his sons Franck and Frédérick gaining Ecocert certification in 2009.
