Emilio Lustau Almacenista 'Garcia Jarana' Oloroso

Few cravings indicate the onset of winter and the approach of the holidays like mine for good, concentrated Oloroso. The Juan Garcia Jarana Oloroso 'Pata de Gallina' is a perennial favorite. Averaging around 15 years of age and aged in a solera of 38 barrels, this is a classic and rich example of the Oloroso style, with the stuffing and concentration to stand up to the rich and warming flavors of the season. The nose shows molasses, dried apple and orange rind, and the palate is round with notes of lemon, candied peanuts, and figs.
