Mainova 2023 Vinho Regional Alentejo Branco

The white from the Mainova estate is all Verdelho, distinct from Verdelho of the north, this is more similar to Gouveio and is a particular type of Verdelho found in the south of Portugal. Harvest is from midnight to 8am, in order to avoid the Alentejo heat. Fermentation is whole bunch and pressed gently over 5 hours, with aging in stainless steel on the lees for 1 year before bottling. A wine of great length and mineral depth.
