Christophe Foucher's "La Lunotte" is in Couffy, Touraine, on a hill above the Cher, just a few miles from the Clos Roche Blanche. The soils are clay with silex over limestone, organic farming of course and natural winemaking at it's best with zero added SO2. The 2023 "Ormeaux" is Gamay, macerated for two weeks in whole-clusters and aged in tank. It's incredibly vibrant with gorgeous, bright aromas of red currant, cherry and pomegranate. The plalte is light at 11.5% alc and bursting with sapid berry fruits, finishing with fresh acidity and a hint of smoke, just a delightful wine!
