This is a perfect Spring/Summer sipper from Finca Parera in Catalunya. Majority Xarel-lo (80%) with Chardonnay, Malvasia de Sitges, Parellada and Garnatxa Blanca. A fresh wine but with dimension, partly due to short, infusion-style maceration (without pump-over or extraction) with the skins for several days, which gives a touch of fleshiness to the mid-palate. There are faint floral notes, most likely from the Malvasia. We highly recommend for all refreshing white wine fans, and especially for anyone interested in regional whites from around Barcelona.
