Turenne 2023 Vin de France Rosé "Histoire d'Haut"

This unusual rosé from Philippe Benezet at Domaine Turenne is a bit of Provençal history, made with all the estate's red grapes, with no SO2 added. It's a throwback to what Provence rosé was 100+ years ago: dark (still dry), complex, almost in the light red category with juicy candied fruit and some carmel and hazlenut on the lingering finish. If you want something a little different this rosé season this is a fascinating example that's still a joy to drink chilled on a hot summer day.
