Sandro Fay 2019 Valtellina Superiore Valgella Riserva 'Carteria'

The top wine from the estate with vines of up to 50 years of age. 2-3 weeks of maceration. Aged in neutral French barrique and 25hl Slavonian botti for 2 years. The most structured of the whole line up really reminiscient of wines from the Langa. Dried roses, underbrush, truffle notes calmly reside in the glass gives a beautiful wine for post dinner meditation. While just entering its drinking period the wine is slyly austere, hold for another 5 years for maximum enjoyment.
