Private Collection: The Produttori del Barbaresco 1967 - 2011
We are just too excited to wait for this spectacular lot of Produttori to arrive from one of our oldest and most reliable Italian collector friends, so it's offered here on a pre-arrival basis, with delivery in the fall. Buon Appetito!
We’ve been lucky to taste most of the wines made by the Produttori del Barbaresco – back to the early 1960s. If there is another wine making cooperative in the world that can come close to the Produttori’s long history of consistently producing high quality wine, we’d love to know about it!
Along with the ‘straight’ Barbaresco, in the best vintages the Produttori bottle 9 different single vineyards as Barbaresco Riservas; in the not-so-great years all of the Riserva vineyards are blended together to make a single bottling of Barbaresco. This reliably produces a wine that will outshine the reputation of even the least sought after vintages.
