A Very Special Chilean Tasting - Wildfire Relief Fundraiser

4/20/23 -

Starting on February 1st of 2023, massive wildfires burned farms, vines, homes, wineries and livelihoods across more than 1,000,000 acres of southern and central Chile. This Saturday, we will be raising money to support small farmers in getting back on their feet, cleaning and replanting land, and finding stability in an area of widespread poverty. Regardless of your ability to donate, if you can attend, we highly recommend it for anyone curious about small production Chilean wines, as this will be an inspiring lineup of more than a dozen wines, from grapes such as Pais, Carignan, Cinsault, Moscatel, Corinto (Chasselas...yes Chasselas), Sauvignon Blanc and more. Regardless of your ability to attend, we recommend donating!

Donations will be distributed directly to small farmers through our friend Alice L'Estrange, a winemaker based in Itata. The focus will be wine growers who have not received support via gofundmes or other social media. Many of the small farmers in the Itata, BioBio, and Maule valleys are unknown to the wider wine world, but they tend the land and farm the grapes that make it into the bottles we drink.

For anyone who wants to donate but is unable to attend, please email office@chambersstwines.com and mention Chile Fundraiser in the subject please
