Victoria Torres Pecis 2022 Lalo Chupadero
Roughly equal parts Listan Negro and Negramoll from the El Chupadero vineyard. The 80+-year-old vines are planted at 1400 meters above sea level and the soils are a mix of clay, sand, and limestone over volcanic stone.
Importer's Note: "Victoria has been working with a grower named Lalo for a couple of years now, and 2021 is the first vintage she made from El Chupadero, one of his parcels, which is more than 80 years old. Vicki is very fond of Lalo, who at 80 years old of age, has a lot to teach. As she says, "I love to work with someone from a different generation and get to see how he understands the land."El Chupadero stands at 1,400 meters of elevation and the soils here have a great mix of clay, sand, and limestone. The wine is 50% Listan Negro and 50% Negramoll, made from a short maceration in an open-top fermenter and transferred to French oak barrels. Completes malolactic and is aged on the lees."
