Tinel-Blondelet 2022 Sancerre Frétoy Blanc

The mother-daughter team at Tinel-Blondelet has taken this family estate towards organic viticulture and the is producing classic, focused wines in Sancerre. The Fretoy 2022 by the Tinel-Blondelet family is well balanced and indicative of the flint and limestone soils in the region. 100% Sauvignon Blanc grapes that are fermented at a low temperature. Aging is in  traditional stainless steel tanks to control temperature and the wine aged on the lees for close to a year (rare for Sancerre!). With this Sancerre, there is no malolactic fermentation, so the extended lees aging helps to provide balance and subtle weight. A classic crisp and balanced Sancerre! -Elena Angerman
