Compared to the larger producers on the market, this lands somewhere between Aperol and Campari on the bitterness scale, is made without unnatural colorings and additives, and is grape-based instead of using grain spirit. The vibrant color comes from the traditional carmine as aperitivos were originally made, and the wine base gives it a richer, more unctuous texture.
