Beaufort, André 2009 Champagne Polisy Brut Reserve Blanc de Noirs

The current release of the 2009 Brut Reserve was disgorged in March 2024. 2009, says Jancis Robinson: "After early complications a superb summer produced a clean crop of high quality, with particularly good Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims. Wines are plump and approachable." 2022 disgorgement: The Beaufort Polisy shows subtle aromas of white fruits and creamy lemon with hints of spice and herbs, the palate is round and ripe with pear, citrus, almond, spice, anise...  The finish is long and creamy with complex spice and mineral notes. The mousse is soft and delicate as with most of the Beaufort wines. This is a great white Burgundy that's masquerading as Champagne.
