This comes from two vineyards in the Sierra Foothills, Barsotto and Witters Vineyards, which both sit between two and three thousand feet in elevation. It is fermented with 100% whole clusters with partial carbonic maceration, basket pressed to foudre and neutral French oak barrels and aged ten months. It's a lively and energetic wine with fresh red berry fruit and some cooling herbs, delightfully quaffable but still with substance. Best served with a slight chill on its own or alongside chicken or vegetable dishes.
