Drew 2022 Fog Eater Pinot Noir

The Drew Fog-Eater Pinot comes from two hillside vineyards in the Anderson Valley AVA, Clow Ridge and Valenti. The cool breezes and daily fog keep temperatures moderate while daytime sun allows for ripening. This has always been a remarkably ageworthy Pinot Noir, with past vintages showing well even at ten to fifteen years of age. The 2022 shows wonderful balance, with bright red fruit and classic cool climate tension. The grapes were fermented with 20% whole clusters, giving it structure and energy while maintaining lovely texture and freshness. It's a throwback California Pinot that eschews the trend of big open fruit in favor of a more ethereal, delicate style that will continue to unfold over the next decade.
