Barbichette 2023 Poc A Poc

This is Muscat comes from Seneca Lake and spends about ten days macerating with skins before being pressed into a large oak barrel and aging on fine lees. It's bottled unfined and unfiltered. The grapes are picked early, giving it energy and clocking in at just 10% abv despite being bone dry. It's floral but not overly perfumed, with a savory herbal side that provides interesting contrast. Great acidity and lift, with tea-like tannins that make it a clever gastronomic wine that can go alongside a variety of meals.
