Amevive 2023 Sundrop

This comes from the Tagabelle Vineyard in Los Olivos, a tiny three-acre vineyard farmed organically and with an emphasis on biodiversity, where sheep graze and fertilize the soils. It's a combination of roughly equal parts Marsanne, Roussanne and Viognier, inspired by the great northern Rhone wines Alice came to love while in the region. The grapes were harvested together, pressed and left to ferment naturally in neutral French oak barrels. The fermentation is long and slow, giving the wine texture while maintaining delicate flavors and aromatics. It's an intricate balance of airy florals, some ripe fruit and a mineral undertone, sunny and rich while still having enough cut to provide balance.
