Durfort-Vivens 2019 Margaux "Les Plantes"

Durfort-Vivens is one of the only Margaux to be certified organic and Biodynamic. Their 2019 "Les Plantes" is a gorgeous blend of 88% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc, aged 80% in clay amphora and 20% in barrels. Beautiful now and over the next ten to fifteen years. "The 2019 vintage sees the introduction of three new bottlings at Durfort Vivens. This one is formed from young vines (les plantes in French), and majors on soft supple tannins, plenty of vivacity, with an emphasis on savoury fruits and floral character. Aged in a mix of barrels and amphoras, drink this over the next few years, while the dark fruit remains vibrant. There is so much character here - delicious now." - Jancis Robinson
