Jess Miller 2021 Sound Check Rose

This is 100% Pinot Noir from Hollow Oak Acres in the Chehalem Mountains, grown at 500ft elevation and farmed organically by Jess. It's a fascinating rosé that borders on a light red, with great depth and texture but still crisp and refreshing. There are some intense savory notes - tomato, leafy vegetables and fresh herbs - with a shot of red berry fruit and soaring acidity that adds tension but still remarkably balanced. This is a wine that defies categorization, somehow dense and contemplative while maintaining incredible freshness, like a cool Spring breeze before rain.
