Albamar 2023 Rias Baixas Albarino

Xurxo Alba makes this wonderfull 100% Albariño in Cambados (Rias Baixas, Spain). The fruit is hand-harvest and comes from different vineyards with sandy soil at sea level. Each parcel is fermented separately with native yeast in stainless tanks, aged on its fine lees for five months and slightly filtered before bottling. The wine has a very pale, almost translucent color. The palate shows salty minerality, small yellow plum (known as "Claudia plum" in Spain) and some citrus with a mouth-watering acidity. Pair all seafood dishes with this classic and elegant expression of Albariño. You'll regret just getting one bottle so at least double up! This wine is going to be your best friend this summer! -LT
