Larmandier-Bernier NV Longitude Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs (Base '19) 1.5L Magnum

With Longitude (vs. Latitude) there is usually one year difference of aging, with Longitude released from a later base vintage year. As Arthur explained, there are more roots connected to the chalk, giving more tension, more bitter orange, and candied orange, and the extra age helps to give the Longitude more deepness. In 2019, the estate lost 15% of their fruit to frost, but the resulting wines were some of Arthur's favorites, and he thinks 2019 was a great vintage, one of the best at the estate in the last 6 or so years. This was a fantastic wine, which I much prefered to the 2020 base in 750ml, sorry there are only mags, but with the holidays coming up, the timing couldn't be better! Dosage is 3g. 

From the Larmandier-Bernier website: Historically, since the beginning of the 20th century, this cuvée had gone under the name of “Blanc de Blancs”. “Longitude” originates exclusively from the Chardonnay grapes grown on the Côte des Blancs: Vertus, Oger, Avize, Cramant, which form a line close to the 4th meridian.
