Turley 2022 Old Vines Zinfandel

The Old Vines Zinfandel comes from 20+ old sites from across California, including vineyards in Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Lodi, Contra Costa, Amador and Paso Robles. Vines range from 50 to 130 years old and the grapes that go into the wine are 95% Zinfandel along with 5% Mataro, Alicante Bouschet, Petite Syrah, Grenache, Cinsault. Turley, alongside longtime Vineyard Manager (and now Director of Winemaking) Tegan Passalacqua is devoted to saving these old vineyards, reinvigorating them through organic farming practices and preserving them in the ground for generations to come. Always a classic and approachable Zin, this is a great representation of Turley's style and a nice entrypoint that still packs the purity and depth of some of their single vineyard bottlings.
