Tue-Boeuf 2023 VDF Rose
Gamay, with a touch of Pineau D'Aunis. The Puzelats source organically farmed fruit from friends in Touraine. The bunches are hand-harvesed and direct-pressed into tank, where the wine ferments spontaneously with native yeasts and goes through malo as well. It is aged briefly in tank and bottled without fining or filtering and with very minimal sulfur. The lovely 2023 shows spicy strawberry/cherry aromas, quite floral and ripe; the palate is earthyand saline beneath pretty strawberry/raspberry fruit with hints of spice and citrus.
