"Caganis" (the last child) is the name in the old provencal dialect for this ancient, terraced vineyard which is planted high atop "The Hill of Charlemagne". An extremely unique field blend of the usual suspects of Marsanne, Clairette and Ugni Blanc along with Grenache Blanc, Bourbelenc and Cassis native Pascal Blanc yield an extremely lithe, serpentine and mineral white unlike anything else in Provence. Flashing a pale green hue , the wine is cool, herbaceous, and lively with garrigue, citrus and sea spray just begging for bushels of oysters and grilled encornets. Original and unforgettable! GH
