5/2/24 - A Chasselas Duo and upcoming events at CSW and our favorite restaurant, Chambers NYC
According to one of our favorite books, Wine Grapes (Jancis Robinson, Julia Harding & José Vouillamoz), Chasselas is "French Switzerland's characteristic variety" and is a "symbol of Swiss white wine, being the most widely planted white wine variety in Switzerland." We're familiar with the Swiss examples, and some from the Savoie region, but today we share two Chasselas wines from unexpected locales!
Speaking of our favorite wine books, don't forget that Jancis Robinson and Tara Q. Thomas will be at CSW this Friday from 5-7pm, for a book signing and impromptu wine tasting, before heading to our favorite restaurant, Chambers NYC for a fantastic dinner event.
And speaking of fantastic dinner events at Chambers NYC, check out these two upcoming dinners at the restaurant, with Antonio Madeira from Portugal on May 7th, and Steve Edmunds from Edmunds St. John winery on May9th!
