More specifically, it's quartz, gravel and magma mixed with big quartz stones. Most of the fruit is sourced from the Croix Hardie vineyard (younger vines), and Carriere vineyard (planted in 1981) with a small percentage of old vines. While some of the other Chenins from Batardière are more contemplative and take some time to reveal themselves, L'Esprit Libre is pure joy right out of the bottle.
