Luc and Denis Lattard planted their first vines in the Drôme valley of France in 1995, reviving a family tradition of winemaking that had been overshadowed by the raising of cattle and other livestock. Today they work 6 hectares of biodynamically-farmed vines on south and southeast facing slopes and work with minimal intervention in the winery. This cuvee is 100% Syrah fermented with native yeasts, raised in neutral oak, and bottled without any SO2. Fresh and lively with high-toned blackberry and dark plum with deeper savory and peppery notes, this would be at home next to grilled meats and vegetables. Pure glouglou! Tim Gagnon
