Three of the historic great producers of Alto Piemonte: Antoniolo, Cantalupo, and Nervi. Made from 80 - 100% Nebbiolo, their wines age as well as other great Nebbiolos, and they offer transparent expressions of their terroirs. I have had many fine bottles from all three, including spectacular 1964s and 1967s from Antoniolo and Nervi. Jamie Wolff
PS - Now that I have your attention: I want share a truly remarkable podcast about Lorenzo Accomasso, one of my favorite Barolo producers. We don't have any Accomasso for sale - the wines are rare (and they bring out my greediest possessive instincts), so there are no strings attached. If you don't already know about Levi Dalton's "I'll drink to that!", this is a great introduction, which ranges well beyond the subject of the title to include history that few Americans are familiar with. It's fascinating stuff, whether or not you have tried Accomasso's wines. Jamie Wolff
