Borja Perez Viticultores 2016 Tenerife Artifice Blanco 1.5 L

This electric wine from Borja Pérez is a 100% Listán Blanco from multiple parcels in Ycoden Daute Isora (northern Tenerife). Fermented separately, the wine is then aged for 8 months - a portion of the wine in concrete tanks on the lees and the other in 500 liter barrels - before being blended and bottled with minimal addition of sulfur. The resulting wine is a complex aromatic wine with saline and yeasty undertones. With a superb ashy minerality, great texture and bright acidity, the wine displays earthy citrus, tart stone fruit and dried chamomile herbal tones. A great wine to drink with seafood, ceviche, and any fresh salads you may fancy for this spring/summer time. Caroline Coursant

Borja Perez Viticultores 2016 Tenerife Artifice Vidueno 1.5 L

Borja Pérez, known for his love of his native land, Tenerife, and his superb winemaking, has produced a fantastic wine under his Artifice label, to the joy of all aficionados of Atlantic minerally-driven complex white wines. Artifice Vidueño 2016 is a blend of local white grapes Marmajuelo, Listán Blanco, Albillo, Gual, and Foraster, from multiple parcels. Vinified in 500 liter French oak barrels and then racked in large foudre, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is aged for about 11 months. The result is a precious and graceful wine. With a gorgeous bouquet of white flowers, clementine, pear yogurt, saline, earth, herbal tea, and savory notes; the wine is deliciously complex. On the palate, the wine displays a beautiful density and creaminess, with ashy volcanic minerality and lively acidity. Pair this wine with Asian-inspired fare, mustard pork roast, and creamy pasta dishes. A delectable wine indeed! Caroline Coursant

Leonis 2016 Côte de Brouilly Mont Brulius 1.5 L

Apparently called Mont Brulius for the Roman soldier whom the region is named after, this cuvée is made from some of Raphael and Christine’s oldest vines (averaging 90 years old). These vines are planted in basalt and granite soils on slopes that are so steep that they don’t allow for plowing. Very friendly, but with a serious mineral backbone and bright acidity. Drink now or age for 5-10 years.

Marie & Florian Curtet 2016 Savoie Autrement Rouge 1.5L

A blend of mostly Gamay (about 80%), with Pinot Noir and Mondeuse from vineyards in the commune of Chautagne de Serrieres and Cellier des Pauvres. Though they will likely make a bit less of the 'Autrement' in the future, this is their homage to the first "natural" wine that Jacques Maillet produced, back in 2003. It is an expression of the Savoie, and reflects Maillet's philosophy of cultivating healthy vineyards without the use of chemicals, and producing authentic wines that show the potential of the region. Like their other reds, maceration is whole cluster, without pump over or punch down, 9 months lees aging, and a light filtration and only 1g/hl (hectoliter) of SO2 at bottling. Delicious wine! Mas Coutelou 2017 Vin de France Vin des Amis 1.5 L

2017 was a vintage characterized by sweltering heat and drought in the Languedoc. Many growers decided to pick early in order to preserve acidity in their wines at the price of less mature fruit. Thankfully Jeff chose to wait so his grapes could achieve full maturity. Late August brought brisk maritime winds and cool nights which dropped the sugar levels for Jeff's grapes, resulting in one of the most balanced and interesting vintages yet. Vin des Amis 2017 is a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault and is more serious and broad than his other cuvées. The wine is fermented with native yeast and aged in concrete tank without the addition of sulphur. The nose is generous with complex aromas of plum, blood orange peel and dried flowers. The mid-weight palate is rich with brooding dark fruit flavors and earthy minerals framed by ripe tannins on a long savory persistent finish. A beautiful vintage that we're thrilled to have in stock! Rootdown 2017 Amador County Mourvedre Rose 1.5 L

Grapes grown in the Dry Bone Ranch vineyard at 2,700 feet in the Sierra Foothills. Like it's companion sangiovese rose, this is pressed using high pressure, to extract as much bold character as possible from the skins. Bold tart red fruit intermingles with some garrigue, a touch of candied rhubarb, and black pepper spice. Incredible concentration of fruit and tart, pithy, mineral character. Bottled with less than 10ppm sulfur. These magnums are incredible party bottles in addition to being exclusive on the east coast to Chambers Street Wines! Andrew Farquhar

Rootdown 2017 Amador County Trousseau Rosé 1.5 L

A mellow peach color in the glass, this rose is a little softer than Rootdown's other offerings, but it exhibits much of the herbal, mineral, and tea-like  aspects associated with this grape. Trousseau planted in 2004 is gently foot-trod upon arrival in the winery, followed by spontaneous fermentation and cold-stabilization. Herbal, with fine green-apple fruit and a smudge of earthiness, this light and elegant rose is a great food wine. I had with hummus, tabouleh, foule, and baba ghanouj, with which it went famously. Rootdown 2017 Sierra Foothills Jane's Vineyard Sangiovese Rosé 1.5 L

Sun-drenched and scorchingly refreshing, this sangiovese rose sourced from a small 2 acre vineyard on Duncan Peak in Mendocino is the color of blood orange flesh in the glass. Hand-harvested, the grapes are then squeezed with high pressure to get a lot of flavor from the skins. Juicy and ripe, with incredible acidity, an herbal freshness, and powerful blood orange character, this is a supercharged rose with such concentration it feels like drinking a glassful of rubies. These magnums are incredible party bottles in addition to being exclusive on the east coast to Chambers Street Wines! Andrew Farquhar

RuBor Viticultores 2013 Castilla y León Navarrevisca 7 Pulgadas Garnacha 1.5 L

7 Pulgadas means "seven inches" as a homage to the vinyl record format. A 100% Garnacha from a single parcel in Navarrevisca, planted on sandy soils of decomposed granite at 1100m altitude, the wine shows off the fun and bright side of the Gredos mountain. With great acidity, grippy tannin and superb minerality, the wine is gorgeous and very enjoyable. On the palate, the wine displays beautiful flower and wild spice undertones with juicy red berry fruit notes. Pair this delicious wine with grilled meat, Mexican fare, and barbecued ribs. Schloss Gobelsburg 2017 Kamptal Cistercien Rosé 1.5L

Pale pink in the glass, the nose hints at a stony minerality confirmed on the palate. This blend of Zweigelt, St. Laurent, and Pinot Noir is crisp with scintillating acidity and flavors of fresh green and red strawberries, Seville orange, white raspberries, white stone, and lemon juice. A touch more giving than the 2016 vintage, and still incredibly brisk! This would be a refreshing start to your holiday evening! Cari Bernard

Vignes du Maynes 2015 Mâcon-Cruzille Manganite 1.5 L

Have a sensational "natural" Thanksgiving with this gorgeous zero-sulfur Gamay from the Clos des Vignes du Maynes!  Made from Gamay Petit Grains planted in 1953, grown on a limestone parcel high in magnesium, in the Clos des Vignes du Maynes in Cruzille, organic since 900 AD, now certified biodynamic. The energetic Julien Guillot vinifies his reds without sulfur or additives of any kind, producing complex, mineral, elegant wines that transcend their appellation.  The 2015s here are extraordinary, showing the elegance, purity and balance typical of the estate with the wonderful ripeness of the vintage. The wine shows gorgeous red and black fruit aromas with cranberry, earth, stone and musk and hints of mint, chocolate and spice. The palate is bright and intense with balckberry, citrus, stone and earthy flavors, that continue on the very long mineral finish. Always one of the greatest Gamays produced anywhere, the 2015 Manganite is a young wine that will benefit from decanting or five to fifteen years in the cellar. Highly recommended! DL
