A Visit From Abe Schoener Of The Scholium Project & Red Hook Winery!
TO 6:30 PM
We are so very pleased when our friend Abe Schoener has time to stop by and pour his fascinating wines. Join Abe for a special tasting (5-6:30pm) and learn more about Scholium Project's new releases, as well as the repair and resurgence of Brooklyn's own Red Hook Winery a year after Hurricane Sandy.
Saturday, December 14
Holiday Champagne Bash Red Grapes Edition!
In part two of two holiday Champagne tastings, we'll be tasting Champagnes based on red grapes: Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. We're suckers for the gorgeous spicy, gingery aromas, power, and chalky finishes of Pinot Noir based Champagnes from the Montagne de Reims. We're equally crazy about the broad, earthy, funky Meuniers of the Vallée de la Marne. We'll be showing wines from Benoït Lahaye, Christophe Mignon, Marie-Courtin, and José Michel, to name but a few.
We knew that Michael Steinberger, esteemed wine journalist and author, was writing an article about the store, but we had no idea that it would be such a fine 10th birthday present for Chambers Street Wines. Any success we may have is entirely due to you, our customer, and we are deeply grateful for your support. We see the store as a work in progress, and we’re always hoping to improve our selection and service – this, our customers, and a lot of great wine makes it exciting to come to work everyday!
